Highland Walk Sky Bridge and Yufuin
- Tour Overview
- You will be picked up from Beppu Station,Beppu International Tourism Port or your accommodation. On the way, we will make a brief stop at Sagiridai Observatory, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Yufuin townscape. We will then proceed to Chojabaru Plateau in Kokonoe Town, Oita Prefecture.
At Chojabaru, you will receive a lesson in Nordic walking before taking a guided walk through the Tadewara Marshland, a Ramsar Convention–designated wetland since 2005 and an important habitat for migratory waterbirds. Enjoy the refreshing experience of “forest bathing” as you explore the area.
Lunch will be served at the farmhouse-style restaurant Bebenko, where you can savor a Premium Oita Wagyu Beef Steak Set Meal. (Menu changes are available upon request.)
After lunch, we will visit the Kokonoe “Yume” Otsurihashi, a pedestrian-only suspension bridge renowned as the tallest in Japan, where you can enjoy an exhilarating skywalk and spectacular scenery.
Following this, you will be dropped off at Yufuin Station and have approximately two hours of free time to explore at your leisure. At the meeting spot, Yume Hiroba, you can also experience the unique sensation of a “doctor fish” foot bath.
Afterward, you will be escorted back to Beppu Station or your accommodation.

8:30 Check-in at the meeting location and depart by car (Please arrive at least 5 minutes early.) 9:00 On the way, we will make a brief stop at Sagiridai Observatory 10:00 Upon arrival at Chojabaru Plateau: Begin Nordic walking after instruction 11:45 Arrive at Chojabaru Forest: Forest bathing experience 12:00 Visit farmhouse restaurant Bebenko where you will enjoy an Oita Wagyu steak lunch. 13:00 we will head to the Kokonoe Yume Suspension Bridge for a sky walk experience. 15:00 We will drop you off at Yufuin Station, where you will have approximately two hours of free time to explore the area. 16:45 At the Yumehiroba Square meeting point, you can also experience a Doctor Fish foot spa. 17:30 Tour ends at the meeting location |
